On July 2-9, 2022, young people from our high school stayed in the Bulgarian city of Burgas, where they participated in the implementation of the international Erasmus + project entitled – “Future Cities – Smart and Sustainable Solutions”. The main goal of the collaboration was to find smart and sustainable solutions to environmental problems in cities around the world. As part of the project, participants from Bulgaria, Greece, Poland, Romania and Slovakia created T-shirts, bags and leaflets promoting ecology, and participated in a trip to a permaculture farm, where they learned about natural methods of increasing yields. In addition, the Bulgarian high school prepared a lecture on the use of the digital system of intelligent IoT solutions – “Internet of Things”.
During their stay in Bulgaria, the students also took part in numerous excursions. They visited one of the most beautiful cities on the Bulgarian coast – Sozopol, with a lot of historic buildings, a beautiful seaside promenade and a sandy beach. They participated in a cruise on the Black Sea, visited the Island of St. Anastasia, historic monastery and lighthouse. In their free time, they enjoyed the beautiful weather, swam in the sea and walked around Burgas.
Thanks to the involvement in the Erasmus + project, the students significantly expanded their knowledge of ecological issues, developed language skills and made many new friends with their peers from other countries.
So many valuable oppotunities to learn something new 😍
